About

Dr. Weimer is a Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She grew up in Seattle, where she developed her first love of science and water. She then attended Brown University in Rhode Island where she majored in neuroscience and played water polo. She attended medical school at UC San Diego. She completed her combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by a year as chief resident in Internal Medicine. She has since practiced primary care for adults and children.

Throughout her career, Dr. Weimer has developed a commitment to caring for the transgender and gender-diverse community, and in 2016 she co-founded the UCLA Gender Health Program, wherein she provides primary care and hormone management for patients of all ages. She is active in education for a wide variety of learners and participates in research to improve the health of transgender and gender-diverse people. In her free time, Dr. Weimer enjoys reading, puzzles, spending time with her family, and being active outdoors.
