Benefits
Academic Conferences:
- Travel & per diem expenses to one professional radiology meeting per academic year, if they present a scientific abstract or exhibit under the supervision of a full-time faculty member of the Department or integrated institution.
Educational Fund:
- $500/year (PGY 1)
- $1,000/year (PGY 2)
Fatigue Mitigation Transportation
- Round trip (work to home and back to car) available
License Reimbursement:
- Covers License, License renewal, USMLE Step 3 fees
Leaves:

In addition to salary each resident receives: a housing stipend and meal funds.
Housing Stipend - $12,000 for 2021:
- $1,000 each month, paid as wages and subject to withholdings (i.e., taxes)
Meals:
- $3,000/year for use in UCLA Hospital cafeterias (Westwood & Santa Monica)
- + App-based meal delivery service available to selected sites

Program Events
- End of the Year Event– Graduation banquet for the graduating class and award presentation for residents and faculty
- Welcome Event – Annual event to welcome new residents, fellows, and faculty to the Radiology department
- Department Chair/Resident Luncheon – A quarterly luncheon with the department chair and program director which provides a forum to discuss department and profession updates.
- Retreats – Annual retreat in the LA area for a day of team building and relaxation
- Research Day – Participating residents and fellows present a diverse array of basic, translational, and clinical research in the department.
- Career Day Symposium – Annual event for residents/fellows in which UCLA partners with the California Radiologic Society to introduce career opportunities available in private practice, academic, and telehealth radiology. Lawyers and business professionals join in as well to offer their insights on essential business aspects for your career.
