Meet Our Staff
Matt joined the UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind team in September 2015. As Executive Director, Matt's primary focus is the overall strategy and management of the SBSM program, including community partnerships, fundraising and program development.
Matt grew up in Yorba Linda, CA, and is a graduate of UCLA, with a double major in Geography/Environmental Studies and History.
Driven by a lifelong passion for the outdoors, you will often find Matt hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing.

Amanda joined the UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind team in December of 2016. As the Program Manager, she administers Sound Body Sound Mind grants and fosters relationships with current and future Sound Body Sound Mind fitness center recipients.
A Southern California native, Amanda received her B.A. from UCLA in Geography and Environmental Studies. She then moved to New Orleans where she obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University.
Taking full advantage of the Southern California weather, Amanda loves to hike, swim, and rock climb.

Charles joined the UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind team in February 2018.
Since joining the staff, Charles has been working on all things related to fundraising and development. Prior to working at UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind, Charles worked as a fundraising and development consultant for Guidance In Giving, Inc.
Born and raised in Valley Stream, NY, Charles graduated from Johnson State College in Johnson, VT with a degree in Health Science. Charles was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. Upon graduation, Charles went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.
In his spare time, Charles enjoys working out, playing sports, and being with family and friends.

Jocelyn joined UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind in May of 2018. She manages the marketing and media efforts for the program. Prior to joining the UCLA team, Jocelyn worked in advertising and news writing.
Originally from New Mexico, Jocelyn graduated from New Mexico State University with a bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communications. She has a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she helped teach a journalism course and worked for the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada.
Health and fitness are pillars of Jocelyn’s daily life. She enjoys hiking, yoga, and cooking healthy meals.
