Inviting Supervisors Resources
Inviting Supervisors
Supervisor Eligibility
Inviting Supervisors must be UCLA Health Sciences employees. Undergraduate student workers and contingent staff are not eligible to serve as volunteer supervisors.
How to Get Started
Recruit Volunteers
Research volunteers may only participate in a volunteer assignment after being invited by a qualified UCLA Health Sciences supervisor.
To initiate the process, please invite prospective volunteers to apply through your designated Opportunity Link. The Opportunity Link will allow applicants to begin the required prescreening and onboarding process.
Create a Volunteer Assignment
If you do not have an Opportunity Link, submit a completed and signed Research Volunteer Scope of Duties (RVSD) Form (Mednet login required): https://uclahs.box.com/s/bzuo1mfk2rg59fwyx30x4glcefb68vjc
Once approved, you will receive an Opportunity Link to share with prospective volunteers.
Update a Volunteer Assignment
If you have an existing volunteer assignment that needs to be updated or brought into compliance with the Research Volunteer Policy, submit a completed and signed Research Volunteer Scope of Duties (RVSD) Form (Mednet login required): https://uclahs.box.com/s/bzuo1mfk2rg59fwyx30x4glcefb68vjc
Please note:
- Volunteers and other non-employees may not complete or submit the RVSD Form.
- Only one RVSD Form is required for multiple individuals serving in the same volunteer role.
- Staff who are authorized representatives of faculty may complete the form on the faculty member’s behalf.
- Processing and response times may be longer during the summer and at the beginning of academic quarters. Thank you for your patience.
