You get access to all the same great UCLA doctors and hospitals the world looks to for leading-edge medicine. And now it's available in an affordable, quality healthcare plan that's all about U.
There are two Covered California plans ("on the exchange") that provide full coverage for care from UCLA Health and all our physicians.
NOTE: Anthem Blue Cross has announced it will withdraw its Covered California plan offerings from all regions of Southern California, effective Jan. 1, 2018. If you are currently covered by Anthem Blue Cross through Covered California or a comparable “off exchange” plan, your coverage will be maintained only through Dec. 31, 2017.
During Covered California’s open enrollment period between Nov. 1, 2017, and Jan. 31, 2018, you will have an opportunity to select another insurance plan that includes UCLA Health and all our physicians.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Even though the open enrollment runs through Jan. 31, 2018, you will need to select a new plan before Dec. 15, 2017, to ensure that you have health insurance coverage at UCLA starting Jan. 1, 2018. This is due to health plan processes. If you have questions about how you can continue to see UCLA providers after the first of the year, please call our Patient Communication Center at 1-800-UCLA-MD1 or 1-800-825-2631.

It can be overwhelming to find the right health plan for you and your family. Starting in 2014, all health insurance newly sold to individuals and small businesses must be classified as one of the four levels of coverage: Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. In addition, a minimum-coverage plan will be available to those who are under 30 years old or can provide a certification that they are without affordable coverage or are experiencing hardship.
This system will make it easier for you to compare plans.
It's up to you.
If you need help understanding the levels of coverage and making a choice that works for you and your family, visit Covered California online or contact them at (800) 300-1506 (TTY: (888) 889-4500).
UCLA doctors participate in Covered California. You can use the Find a UCLA Physician link below to review your choices. We encourage every patient to have a primary care physician in addition to any specialty needs you may have.
