Community Engagement & Inclusive Excellence Programs and Activities
DoM Staff Book Club
The DoM Staff Book Club offers an opportunity to connect with colleagues across the Department through shared reading and thoughtful conversation. Together, participants will read The Four Pivots and gather to reflect, exchange perspectives, and explore connections to our work.
The group will meet virtually for one hour every other Friday, with approximately 40 pages of reading between sessions. Each meeting will focus on key takeaways, reflections, and insights from the reading.
The first 10 registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the selected book from CEIE. All other participants will be supported with information about free or reduced-cost access options.
Doc & Talk
This series thoughtfully blends education and community engagement by inviting DoM staff to watch a documentary and share perspectives and reflections. Each month’s selection is intentionally aligned with a cultural heritage observance, creating a welcoming space for meaningful discussions that connect influential figures and historical moments to our own lived and work experiences. Staff members are warmly invited to bring their lunch and participate either in person or via Zoom.
