  1. How do I register?
    Registration for the 2020 conference is now open. If you are having difficulty accessing the online form, please call the RCOA Coordinator at 310-825-8253.
  2. Is the conference free?
    Yes, the conference is free and open to the public.
  3. How long is the conference?
    The conference lasts from 8am to 12:30pm.
  4. What does the conference program include?
    The conference will include poster sessions that will showcase the latest research on aging and lectures from a diverse collection of expert speakers in the field of Geriatric Medicine and related disciplines. All of the lectures will conclude with an audience question and answer session.
  5. Where is the conference located?
    The conference is located at Geffen Hall, Rooms 130 (Lectures) and B-36 (Poster Sessions) at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. The address is 885 Tiverton Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024.
  6. What are the directions to UCLA?
    From the 405 Freeway, exit on Wilshire Boulevard East. Merge onto Wilshire Boulevard, turn left on Malcom Avenue then left on Le Conte Avenue. Turn right on Tiverton to enter the roundabout and park at Parking Structure 18.

    After you park, you can enter Geffen Hall via 1st floor back entrance by Switzer Plaza, then take the elevator down to B level.
  7. Where do I park?
    Parking is available in Parking Structure 18, located next door to Geffen Hall. The daily parking rate is $13 for all-day parking.

Poster Presentations

  1. Am I eligible? Do I need to be affiliated with UCLA?
    All research faculty, fellows, students, and community research partners are invited to submit abstracts for inclusion in the poster session. You do not need to be a UCLA student or facult
  2. How do I submit an abstract?
    1. The text of the abstract must be 250 words or less in a Word doc (no PDFs)
    2. Must include a Purpose/Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
    3. Text only. No graphics or tables.
  3. What is the deadline?
    The deadline for submission for the 2020 Research Conference on Aging is Wednesday, May 6, 2020. You will be notified of acceptance within a week of the deadline.
  4. May I submit more than one abstract?
    Yes, you may submit multiple abstracts.
  5. What are the presentation guidelines?
    Please plan on arriving at the venue 10-15 minute before the conference start time to allow for check-in. You must be present for the full duration of your scheduled poster session.
  6. What is the presentation format?
    There will be two separate poster sessions, lasting 1 hour each. You will be notified of your assigned poster session by email, a week before the conference.
