PROGRAM SIGNALING:
We will be participating in program signaling for the 2027 application cycle. While we will preferentially review applications from those who signal our program, we will also consider applicants who do not signal us.
VIRTUAL INTERVIEWS:
Interviews are required. Interviews begin in September, and invitations for one of our interview dates are sent out in a rolling fashion. Applicants chosen for an interview will be contacted by the fellowship coordinator.
ACADEMIC TRACKS:
Two academic tracks are available in our training program: a Physician Researcher Track and a Clinician Educator Track. Applicants committed to pursuing a physician-scientist career should apply to the Physician Researcher Track through ERAS, and those interested in a career as an academic medical educator should apply to the Clinician Educator Track. We do accept applications to both tracks simultaneously and will consider your application for one or both tracks.
INTERVIEW DAY:
Each interview session will take place over the course of one half day. Applicants will have five or six virtual interviews with our faculty (30 minutes each), an introductory presentation by the Program Director, and informal discussions via an optional virtual "happy hour" with our current fellows.
In alignment with the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD), our national professional society, and to ensure a uniform interview process that is equitable to all applicants, our fellowship interviews will be held exclusively virtually. We will not offer in-person site visits. The full recommendation is available here.
