2026-2026 Pathology Fellowship Scholarly Highlights
Our trainees continue to distinguish themselves as emerging leaders in pathology through research productivity, national visibility, and academic engagement. Across the 2025–2026 academic year, fellows and residents contributed dozens of peer‑reviewed publications, high‑impact national and international conference presentations, and innovative translational and basic science projects spanning surgical pathology, cytopathology, molecular diagnostics, transplant immunology, neuropathology, and more.
Their work was showcased at major professional meetings—including USCAP, CAP, ASCP, ASDP, ADLM, ASHI, ACMG, ACC, and multiple specialty symposia—reflecting both the breadth and depth of our program’s scholarly environment. Trainees served as first authors on original research, presented award‑winning posters, delivered invited lectures, and contributed to cutting‑edge advancements such as nanopore sequencing for HLA typing, spatial transcriptomics, transplant immunology, and diagnostic innovations in dermatopathology, hepatopathology, and women’s health.
This collective body of work reflects not only the dedication and creativity of our trainees, but also the strength of our faculty mentorship and the collaborative academic culture within UCLA Pathology. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and look forward to the continued impact they will make in advancing pathology and laboratory medicine.
