New chief of thoracic surgery
UCLA scientists receive $16.1 million in CIRM grants
Researchers, including Surgery’s Dr. Gerald Lipshutz, have received grants from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine to advance new stem cell-based treatments for a metabolic disorder and two rare genetic immune disorders.
Rosenfeld Hall is the new home of CASIT
Rosenfeld Hall, a hub for cutting-edge training, technology and collaboration, is the new home for the Center for Advanced Surgical & Interventional Technology. Dr. Peyman Benharash is CASIT’s executive director.
Dr. Jane Yanagawa is the 2023 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award recipient
