Course description

The Wound Care Symposium is scheduled to be a one-day program that will be held at a designated facility. The program will be held in-person and virtual. The multi-disciplinary faculty members of the program will all be in person. The intended audience will include but are not limited to any providers and staff who treat wounds of all types. There will be invited vendors who will be providing viewing stations for wound products.

Course objectives

At the completion of this program, participants should be better able to: 
• Recall different etiologies of wounds 
• Describe principle of wound healing 
• Identify alternate wound treatment options 
• Recognize various diagnostic modalities of wound and infection 
• Indicate the role of consulting to different specialties

Target audience

This course is designed for Vascular Surgeons, Podiatric Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, Infections Disease, Dermatologists, Interventional Radiologists, Radiologists, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Geriatrics, Primary Care Providers.
