During the intern year, categorical trainees work closely with Dr. Warwick Peacock and Dr. Grace Chang, the department’s surgical anatomy experts. Over the course of 20 individual sessions, interns review surgical anatomy and critical procedures. Teaching cases include cricothyroidotomies, thoracotomies, hepatectomies, and fasciotomies, to name a few. Located adjacent to Ronald Reagan Hospital, the anatomy lab is easily accessible, and residents of all levels have the opportunity to return to the anatomy lab for pertinent refreshers and additional practice.
