About
Dr. Grace Chen is the Clinical Chief of UCLA's Division of Geriatrics. In this role, she serves as the medical director of all clinical service lines in the ambulatory, inpatient and skilled nursing facility settings in the Division of Geriatrics. She also actively partners with various stakeholders to elevate Age-Friendly Care for older patients across the UCLA Health System.
Dr. Chen currently holds the title of Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California Los Angeles. She is a Clinician Educator and teaches all levels of trainees in various clinical settings.
Dr. Chen sees patients in the outpatient clinic as both a primary care physician and consultant on geriatric syndromes for older patients. She has a special interest in memory disorders evaluation and assisting patients and their families with issues related to memory loss. In addition to her outpatient practice, Dr. Chen also cares for patients at Santa Monica-UCLA hospital.
At the national level, Dr. Chen serves on the Item-Writing Task Force in Geriatric Medicine for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the Clinical Practice and Models of Care Committee for the American Geriatrics Society and Editorial Advisory Board for ACP Internist.
