Dr. Grace Chen is the Clinical Chief of UCLA's Division of Geriatrics. In this role, she serves as the medical director of all clinical service lines in the ambulatory, inpatient and skilled nursing facility settings in the Division of Geriatrics. She strives to improve the delivery of care for older patients in the UCLA Health System.

Dr. Chen currently holds the title of a Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California Los Angeles. She is a Clinician Educator. 

Dr. Chen sees patients in the outpatient clinic as both a primary care physician and consultant on geriatric syndromes for older patients. She has a special interest in memory disorders evaluation and assisting patients and their families with issues related to memory loss. In addition to her outpatient practice, Dr. Chen also attends on the inpatient Geriatrics service at Santa Monica-UCLA hospital.

Dr. Chen teaches all levels of trainees at both the outpatient and inpatient sites.

At the national level, Dr. Chen serves on the Item-Writing Task Force in Geriatric Medicine for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
