Health Science Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology, Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) in OBGYN. Dr. Tarnay is Co-Director of the Center for Womens Pelvic Health. Dr. Tarnay completed his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at UCLA School of Medicine and then completed fellowship in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Harbor - UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Tarnay founded the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine at UCLA in department. He is an expert in robotic and minimally invasive surgery for prolapse and incontinence. He is an authority in medical and surgical therapies for urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, female pelvic reconstructive surgery and voiding dysfunction. Dr. Tarnay is skilled in fistula care and leads efforts to reduce the suffering of women and mothers from fistula in the developing world through a sustainable program of service and education.
