Scientific Training in Addiction Research Techniques (START)

The overarching goal of Scientific Training in Addiction Research Techniques (START) is to create a pipeline of substance misuse clinical researchers trained in the analysis and dissemination of data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) and HEALthy Brain and Cognitive Development (HBCD) studies.

START addresses limitations in extant research programs through five pillars: systematic recruitment into research programs, early career enrichment, rigorous training, effective mentoring and nourishing environments.
