At UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, we provide hospital care for our patients on our dedicated Geriatric Medicine unit.
UCLA geriatricians provide in-patient services for their patients in a dedicated geriatric medicine unit at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica. Our robust, intensive unit provides holistic geriatric care with a dedicated staff and resources including physical therapy as well as access to social workers who assist in short and long term care planning.
When you are admitted to our inpatient service, the geriatric faculty caring for you will communicate with your primary care physician on a daily basis. We coordinate care through the various transitions that arise from being hospitalized, including transitioning to a post-hospital care rehabilitation facilities, if indicated.
At UCLA Geriatrics, we believe we have an obligation to provide the highest standard of care for every patient. We provide comprehensive service through our team approach. Like our outpatient service, our inpatient care is provided by teams of clinicians who are in charge of every aspect of patient care and coordinate all consultation with external physicians when appropriate.
In addition, we offer consultative care for elderly persons hospitalized at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital.
