The Division of Dermatology is pleased to offer comprehensive allergy patch testing to evaluate for contact dermatitis. Any patient with an eczematous dermatitis may benefit from this skin-specific testing, especially if the dermatitis has been unresponsive to therapy or is localized to a specific part of the body. We offer testing with the North American Standard Panel of allergens, but can customize testing depending on allergen exposure, such as for hair dressers, patients with foot dermatitis, patients with chronic leg ulcers, dental office workers and more. The evaluation will include extensive counseling on products that are safe and products that need to be avoided, if testing reveals contact allergy. Please note that this testing is limited to contact dermatitis, allergies from direct skin exposure, and does not evaluate for food or drug allergies. We welcome physician referrals as well as self referrals.
