UCLA Medical Students
First and Second year students - contact faculty directly to observe/shadow/conduct research
Individual student shadowing which is not part of a DGSOM or Health System sponsored program is not permitted.
Third year students – Neurosurgery participates in the Surgery Clerkship Course SU 019. Students may contact the Surgery Education Office at (310) 206-2567.
Fourth Year students - eligible for Neurosurgery, Clinical Clerkship, NS462.01 and Neurocritical Care Clerkship, NS462.03
Clerkship - US MSIV and International Final Year Students
Fourth Year US medical students and select, international students from universities with DGSOM reciprocal relationships are eligible to participate in the Neurosurgery Clinical Clerkship NS362.01. DGSOM participates in VSAS and accepts applications beginning in April for the following academic year.

Resident Rotators
Residents from other accredited training programs are eligible to visit for a maximum of (90) ninety days. Their home institution must provide an Affiliation Agreement stating their continued coverage of salary, benefits, and malpractice insurance. The rotator must arrange travel and housing independently.
