Celebrate Earth Month 2026

Earth Day, celebrated each year on April 22nd, recognizes the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of how we can help address climate change. In honor of Earth Month, UCLA Health Sustainability, Environmental Health & Safety, and Food Services & Nutrition will be hosting events across multiple locations. 

Events will take place at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, UCLA West Valley Medical Center, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Burbank Primary & Specialty Care, Encino Primary Care, and Santa Clarita Primary & Specialty Care across April. 

Join us to connect with UCLA Health teams and vendors, learn about ongoing sustainability initiatives, and take part in interactive activities featuring sustainable giveaways. Featured activities include the Environmental Health & Safety Annual Cigarette Butt Clean-Up (during medical center events) and a Sustainable Clothing Swap. Clean Air Day

Clean Air Day is in October and coincides with Sustainable Transportation Month. Transportation accounts for 40% of California's air pollution. UCLA Transportation and UCLA Health Sustainability promote Clean Air Day and Sustainable Transportation Month to help everyone breathe easier and to provide alternative commuting options such as walking, riding a bike, carpooling, or taking public transit to your destination.
