The UCLA Pediatric Marfan Clinic offers evaluation and treatment of children and teenagers suspected of having Marfan Syndrome. We provide regular evaluations and treatment of the aorta and heart, and work closely with ophthalmology and orthopedics groups at UCLA. Young adults are transitioned to the Adult Marfan program within the UCLA Adult Congenital Heart Program.
We can now offer pediatric patients heart and eye (ophthalmology) appointments on the same day (Wednesdays). Cardiology care is provided at the Pediatric Cardiology offices and eye care at Jules Stein Eye Institute, across the street.
New patient evaluations will include a full history and exam, and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound). A full eye exam if often recommended. Genetics testing is sometimes recommended.
