The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a candidate for a full-time Project Scientist position at the Assistant rank. The position is based at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.

The candidate will work in the lab of Dr. Connie Rhee and will be expected to work alongside other research staff. Research activities will involve performing research in the areas of nutrition, endocrinology, metabolism and kidney disease. The designing and performing of experiments are expected as well as presenting the results in publications and at meetings.

A Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are expected. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for a Project Scientist position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full ranks. Positions are available for 1) individuals who can manage clinical trials in transplant or renal research; or, 2) individuals who are able to perform research on the structure and function of bicarbonate transporters of the SCL4 family including AE1 and NBCe1. Candidates must have an M.D. or Ph.D. and experience in medical research.

The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for faculty positions at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professor ranks. Positions are available at multiple sites in the Greater Los Angeles area including Downtown LA and West Los Angeles. Candidates will be expected to establish an inpatient nephrology consultative practice, cover outpatient dialysis units, and establish an outpatient chronic kidney disease clinic. Candidates will teach residents and fellows, and/or perform clinical research. An M.D. or D.O. is required. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine and must be board eligible or board certified in Nephrology.
