The Division of Geriatrics, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine seeks applicants for an Assistant Project Scientist position. Under the direction of the Division Chief of Geriatrics, the Assistant Project Scientist will co-direct the annual UCLA Intensive Course in Geriatric Medicine & Board Review, which is held annually. The candidate's duties for the course will include planning content, identifying speakers, creating a distinct dementia curriculum, determining the appropriate format and venue, marketing, identifying potential sponsors, moderating sessions, reviewing evaluations, and overall leadership, including working with the UCLA office of Continuing Medical Education, faculty, and vendors.

The Assistant Project Scientist will also represent the Intensive Course at UCLA Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology (MPGMG) leadership meetings. The candidate will also facilitate the repurposing of existing educational materials, including those from the Intensive Course to benefit other UCLA MPGMG educational offerings and programs. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience managing similar educational programs/CME programs and understand UCLA policy on event planning. This position requires an M.D. degree with training or certification in geriatrics and a preferred background in medical education.

The Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applications for Clinician-Investigator positions at the Instructor or Assistant Professor ranks. Rank and step commensurate with experience. The successful applicant is expect to conduct research and submit research grants leading to independence as an investigator. The position will include various amounts of ambulatory primary care, consultation practice, inpatient and consult attending responsibilities in the UCLA Healthcare System. Other responsibilities will include teaching UCLA medical students, medicine housestaff, and geriatric fellows.

An M.D. or D.O. is required. Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in Geriatrics and have advanced research training.
