Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship Program
The Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship Program at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is a one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship that provides fellows with broad exposure to clinical heart failure, cardiac transplantation, mechanical circulatory support and research training in the field of advanced heart failure.
Training & Curriculum
Fellows will also be trained in critical care management of patients with cardiogenic shock, including the management of advanced cardiac assistive devices such as durable left ventricular assist devices, bi-ventricular mechanical circulatory support (MCS), temporary percutaneous MCS, intra-aorta balloon pumps and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Additionally, fellows will be exposed to state-of-the-art procurement technology such as Organ Care System (OCS), Xvivo and Sherpapak.

UCLA Heart Failure Symposium
This symposium is held annually in the fall. UCLA Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship Program fellows are encouraged to attend and participate.
