NEXT STEPS to Implement Legacy for Children™
Interested agencies will:
- Receive an information packet with the program's history, philosophy, research data, as well as a detailed outline of the implementation requirements, staff qualifications, and suggested percentage of staff effort.
- Be invited to participate in an interactive webinar to review the Legacy for Children™ philosophy and the UCLA curriculum, training, and technical support. This webinar will provide the opportunity for Q&A.
- Be asked to complete and submit an application. This will help to assess if a Legacy for Children™ program is right for your agency. Consultation with the Legacy for Children™ Training Center staff is also encouraged.
After completion of the items above, agencies will receive registration instructions and materials to assist with plans for attending the 3-day training.*
*Currently, the cost of the training and 2 years of technical assistance is provided free of charge, funded by a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to agencies interested in implementing the Legacy for Children™ curriculum. Participants are expected to cover the costs of their own travel expenses.
