The UCLA Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases' research brings together information from different specialties such as neuroscience, inflammation, immunology, endocrinology and obesity to study inflammatory bowel diseases. It is one of the first research centers in the world to facilitate the collaboration of these fields to study how neuropeptides along with the immune system and the gut contributes to disorders such as IBD. Our goal in research is to develop new pathophysiological concepts that lead to new forms of treatment for IBD.
Our research also includes clinical trials and stem cell therapy.
