College of Chinese Medicine
The College of Chinese Medicine at China Medical University (CMU) in Taichung, Taiwan, provides a full spectrum of programs from undergraduate through doctoral levels, featuring a distinctive dual-major curriculum that integrates Western and Chinese medicine to prepare physicians proficient in both systems. Our educational strengths emphasize integrative medicine, evidence-based practice, and international collaboration.
China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) provides Taiwan’s largest integrative clinical service through its Division of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. Key strengths include integrative oncology, pediatrics, stroke rehabilitation, chronic kidney disease, and so on, supported by advanced tools such as AI-assisted bone-age prediction, VR acupuncture training, and big-data research platforms.
We welcome international visiting students interested in integrative medicine. Opportunities include clinical observerships in integrative oncology, pediatrics, acupuncture, and rehabilitation, as well as participation in lectures, workshops, and research projects. Visiting students typically join for 2–4 weeks (observerships) or 3–6 months (research). CMU currently hosts more than 200 visiting students annually from Asia, Europe, and America.
Through education, clinical innovation, and global partnerships, CMU advances integrative medicine and prepares the next generation of physician-scientists to bridge traditional and modern healthcare.
