Siriraj Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (Si-CATTM)

The Siriraj Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (Si-CATTM), Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is Thailand’s leading academic and clinical hub for integrative medicine. As a WHO Collaborating Centre for Traditional Medicine, Si-CATTM is internationally recognized for advancing education, clinical service, and research in Thai Traditional Medicine (TTM) and its integration with modern biomedicine.

The Center offers comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Applied TTM, with curricula emphasizing evidence-based practice, cultural heritage, and patient-centered care. Clinical strengths include herbal medicine and non-herbal practices such as Thai traditional massage (Nuad Thai) and Hermit Exercise, integrated with modern diagnostics at Siriraj Hospital.

Research expertise spans pharmacology, metabolomics, herbal safety, and digital health innovation, positioning Si-CATTM at the forefront of TTM development. Each year, the Center hosts international students for structured learning, clinical observation, and short-course training (1–4 weeks), accommodating 1–10 participants per rotation. Programs are flexible and tailored for students from medicine, pharmacy, or allied health sciences.

Si-CATTM is committed to fostering global collaboration and serving as a gateway for Thai Traditional Medicine in the international integrative medicine landscape.
