The Integrated Chinese and Western Clinical Medicine program at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in 2005 and approved as a National First-Class Undergraduate Program in 2019. Guided by the university's talent cultivation strategy, the program places significant focus on achieving broad integration of Chinese and Western medical theories and the seamless combination of clinical knowledge and skills from both disciplines in its development. The program also integrates resources from the National Clinical Research Base for TCM and the National Flagship Hospital for Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, aims to cultivate clinical professionals capable of engaging in integrated Chinese and Western medical practices, including healthcare, prevention, health maintenance, rehabilitation, and management. Graduates will possess strong innovative capabilities and an international perspective.
