This course combines lecture and lab to provide therapists with the evaluation and treatment tools to perform proximal screening to rule out a cervical or thoracic outlet issue and treatment techniques address cubital tunnel syndrome, radial tunnel, pronator syndrome, Wartenberg’s syndrome, ulnar tunnel and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Spastic Cerebral Palsy

Selective motor control (SMC) is a key predictor of function in individuals with spastic cerebral palsy. This course provides an overview of SMC and its role in motor impairment, reviews the Selective Control Assessment of the Lower Extremity (SCALE), and introduces the Mini-SCALE, a newer observational tool designed for infants and toddlers. Participants will learn the rationale, development, administration, and scoring of Mini-SCALE, along with its relevance for early identification and intervention. The session includes case examples, review of supporting research, and interactive practice to support application in clinical settings.
