In February 2018 I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma of the thyroid. I was scheduled for surgery in May at a hospital in the San Fernando Valley. The surgery was cancelled as I had a severe reaction to the medicines I was given and my heart failed. I decided I would change hospitals and doctors. My daughter urged me to go to UCLA. I met Dr. Jelena Malekobic who is part of UCLA Health. She in turn referred me to Dr. Masha Livhits. She told me Dr. Livhits was smart, sweet and would take good care of me. I googled Dr. Livhits and was very impressed with her accomplishments. As soon as I met her, I knew I had made the right decision.I knew in my heart she would do a good job. I am very sensitive to strong medicines. I had a long conference with Dr. Nirav Kamdar and Shepher Tehrani who really helped me. They were there for the surgery and it was a miracle. I had no nausea and I wasn't sick at all. The nurses at UCLA 'Santa Monica did a great job. Dr. Livhit's team were all good - the whole staff was wonderful. UCLA saved my life. I felt no pain and was able to be back at work 2 days after the surgery!
Dr. Livhits is the Best
