Mindfulness is our ability to be fully present and in the moment, conscious awareness of where we are and how we are, while being gentle and nurturing with ourselves. These tools provide a basic introduction to cultivating mindfulness practices in your life.

Mindfulness, Why Practice it?

Beginner's Body Scan Meditation  This guided meditation helps you systematically focus your attention on different parts of your body, from the top of your head to the tips of your toe, to cultivate an awareness of your bodily sensations and relieve tension. Research suggests that this mindfulness practice can help reduce stress, improve your well-being, and decrease aches and pains.
Loving Kindness Meditation 15 minute recording of the Loving-Kindness Meditation. Loving-kindness meditation increases happiness in part by making people feel more connected to others—to loved ones, acquaintances, and even strangers. Research suggests that when people practice loving-kindness meditation regularly, they start automatically reacting more positively to others—and their social interactions and close relationships become more satisfying.
