PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Program Director:  Tamara Grisales, M.D.
Associate Program Director: Sukrant Mehta, MD
Training Sites: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica

The UCLA Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship provides a 2-year comprehensive training program in advanced gynecologic endoscopy and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.  Our program is fully accredited by the the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the leading association promoting minimally invasive gynecologic surgery among surgeons worldwide.

We are committed to surgical and academic excellence in the field of minimally invasive gynecology and offer our fellows an impressive array of resources including, a state-of-the-art surgical simulation center, a robust women’s health research unit, and many multidisciplinary opportunities with transgender health, radiology, and other gynecologic subspecialists.  Our fellows will be mentored by faculty possessing a wide variety of clinical practices, allowing for exposure to all aspects of minimally invasive gynecology. UCLA has a large minimally invasive gynecologic surgery volume and an abundance of educational, research, and advocacy resources aimed at preparing our fellows for an academic career.
