In December, SBSM co-founder Bill Simon wrote an op-ed in USA Today on the importance of physical education and the need for students to be more active. He contends that being physically active can directly impact student performance, well-being and self-confidence. Inactivity is now the fourth-leading risk factor for global mortality, behind high blood pressure, tobacco use and high blood glucose.
