The endocrine surgery research group is a collaborative team of surgeons, endocrinologists, statisticians, residents, and medical students, engaged in high-volume clinical and translational research. Our work involves impactful retrospective, prospective, and quality improvement projects investigating thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal pathologies. Residents joining the lab can expect a stimulating environment to conduct research with the goal of improving clinical practice. A multi-disciplinary approach is emphasized, and we work with specialists in endocrinology, pathology, anesthesiology, radiology, and pediatrics, across multiple institutions. Full statistical and administrative support is provided. Residents can also expect to work closely with medical students to help them develop and investigate their own research projects. Our trainees routinely present at national meetings and publish in a variety of high impact journals. Outside of the lab, we also like to enjoy the occasional game night and dinner outing throughout the year.
