Our clinic has a Registered Dietician Nutritionist who is also a lifestyle coach and a certified health educator. She is available to see patients for a variety of nutrition counseling and also runs small group sessions on a variety of common chronic conditions such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, as well as hyperlipidemia.
Carol Catching, MS, RDN
Carol Catching is a native of the city of Los Angeles. She has completed the curriculum modeled after the Coordinated Undergraduate Dietetic Program (CUDP) and earned her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics at California State University, Los Angeles. She completed her M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics at the California State University, Northridge. Her dietetic internship rotations included Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, UCLA Center for Human Nutrition Weight Management Program, and Van Nuys Community Hospital Adult Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) program.
Carol is currently earning her teaching credential in Secondary Education at California State University, Northridge and has completed her one year teaching internship at the Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies. Carol comes to MPCCC via UCLA Medical Group Brentwood where she was in private practice since January 2000. Ms. Catching’s clinical interests include health education, nutrition management and prevention of chronic diseases in children and adults. She is an avid tennis player, swimmer, and enjoys cooking and recipe development.
