Clinical Programs

UCLA Neurology Clinic

The UCLA Neurology Clinic is a highly integrated department of neurologists with subspecialization in the evaluation, and treatment of disorders affecting the nervous system.

Our ambulatory clinic provides state-of-the-art care for patients with a variety of neurological disorders, education of neurology residents and fellows in neurology subspecialties, and neurology research programs in both basic and clinical neuroscience directed at understanding diseases of the nervous system and developing new treatments based on that knowledge.

The UCLA Neurology Clinic provides care through a number of subspecialty clinics as well as a general neurology clinic. Patients whose illnesses do not fall into these categories, and those who do not yet have a diagnosis, are seen in the general neurology clinic.

We ask that patients be referred by a primary care physician or subspecialist within the community for our neurology programs. If a patient needs to be seen the same day for an urgent problem, the patient can be seen by a core group of general neurologists who provide full-time coverage in the center. If a patient is referred by a physician, a timely appointment will be scheduled for a general neurology consultation or for a second-opinion consultation in one of the subspecialty areas.
