Testimonials: In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Class

In Vitro Fertilization Course Comments:

In Vitro Fertilization Course UCLA

"My husband and I took the IVF class at UCLA Medical Center just before we started our IVF protocol. This class was very informative. Even though I've attended an IVF class at another institution, this class provided me more insight on different types of IVF protocols."

—MB

"The IVF class was extremely useful. IVF is a confusing and exacting process, and doctors don't always have time to answer the same questions with each and every patient in full detail as we might like (their waiting rooms are full!). But at the class, all patients will receive a good understanding of the various protocols, why they are different for different patients, learn why timing is so precise, all of which contributes ultimately to your best chance of holding your healthy baby in your arms. It definitely demystifies the process!"

"We thought the class was very helpful.  It was definitely worth our time.  I appreciated hearing about different IVF protocols and rationales behind them.  I was also very happy to be able to ask questions before starting to process."

"We received all the information from the lovely girl (Ruthie), so that was a refreshing hour. It made us feel like we're in a good place, making sure we know all before going forward. It felt like we made the right decision to go through IVF with our doctor."

—Class Participant

"I thought the IVF class was informative and concise. Even though I had been through numerous fertility treatments elsewhere (including IVF), I learned valuable information from the presentation. I appreciated hearing more about the research on IVF, including research conducted at UCLA. At other clinics, I was given only the most cursory explanation of what was going to happen and why. I appreciate that the doctors at UCLA want patients to understand the reasoning behind the fertility treatment decisions. I appreciated that a little humor was inserted into the presentation as well! It brought some levity to an emotionally difficult topic."

—Class Participant

"I loved the class and like that it was taught by a physician. All of my questions were answered. It made me feel less anxious. It was comforting to see other couples in the class. Knowing that others are experiencing infertility even if they were there for different reasons makes us feel less alone in the process. I enjoyed being able to ask questions before and after the class."
