US News and World Report has ranked the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center as the "Best in the West". Our state-of-the-art facilities in Westwood and Santa Monica allow us to conduct both in-patient and out-patient procedures with an emphasis on patient safety.
Our research endeavors are dedicated to the advancement of reconstructive surgery and academic medicine. We are conducting clinical studies that focus on increasing the safety and efficacy of post-mastectomy breast reconstruction and we are working to develop new substitutes for traditional bone grafts, new reconstructive treatments for major traumatic injuries, and new surgical techniques to help children born with severe facial deformities.
The UCLA Plastic Surgery Residency Program has trained 145 surgeons in the art and science of reconstructive plastic surgery. Our sub-specialty fellowships have provided residents with further training in craniofacial surgery and microvascular breast reconstruction. Graduates from our residency and fellowship programs have gone on to hold top academic positions at UCLA, USC, Stanford, and other prestigious academic medical centers.
