The UCLA Lung Transplant Fellowship is a one-year non-ACGME program dedicated to training in transplant pulmonology within the UCLA Lung Transplant Program.
Our Lung Transplant Program is among the highest volume transplant centers in the world, delivering high quality care through cutting edge innovation and research. Training within this program offers an unmatched breadth and depth of clinical experience. Our lung transplant fellow works within a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, dieticians, pharmacists, and other transplant specialists.
Our specialized program provides comprehensive training in all aspects of transplant pulmonology in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, including:
Didactic instruction from our experienced interdisciplinary faculty is scheduled throughout the year. The fellow will also have ample opportunities to engage in research and/or quality improvement projects, and to participate in the ISHLT Annual Meeting and other professional conferences.
Upon successful completion of this training year, the graduating fellow will be well-equipped to serve as an attending transplant pulmonologist, and will meet UNOS Primary Lung Transplant Physician requirements.
