myUCLAhealth Ambassadors (MUHA) Program
What will you do?
Help patients confidently use myUCLAhealth, video visits, the MyChart app and other digital tools. Provide compassionate, nonclinical support in clinics, inpatient units and other care settings while making a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
How often will you volunteer?
General MUHA Ambassadors complete 50 volunteer hours each year with flexible scheduling. Students can serve at five ambulatory clinics and participate in specialized programs.
Current assignment locations:
- Geriatrics: 200 Medical Plaza, Suite 365
- Head & Neck: 200 Medical Plaza, Suite 550
- Kidney Transplant: 200 Medical Plaza, Suite 565
- Internal Medicine: 200 Medical Plaza, Suite 420
- Pfleger Liver Institute: 100 Medical Plaza, Suite 700
- Bedside: All units at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (special volunteer opportunity)
How will you benefit?
Gain valuable hands-on experience in a world-renowned healthcare environment while developing communication, leadership and patient engagement skills. Outstanding ambassadors may also be eligible for letters of recommendation recognizing excellence in supporting patients in inpatient settings and using digital tools to enhance the patient experience.

We're looking for compassionate, dependable pre-med students who enjoy helping others use technology and are committed to making a positive impact on patients and their families.
