Ann Marie Hernandez M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Hernandez is a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine. She completed Family Medicine Residency at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and her MD degree at UCLA School of Medicine. She is currently completing a 2 year UCLA T32 NRSA Primary Care & Health Services Research Fellow. Dr. Hernandez mentors medical students and residents and served as director for the Department's pathway program for High School Students in Van Nuys Medical Magnet High School. She has published on primary care workforce diversity and her research interests include improving primary care and access to care for underserved and vulnerable populations. 


Frederick Ferguson

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick Ferguson M.D.

Dr. Ferguson is a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine. He completed Family Medicine Residency at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and his MD degree at UCLA School of Medicine in the Charles Drew Medical Education program. He is a National Clinician Scholar. Dr. Ferguson is interested in investigating pediatric obesity, local school practices, and disparities in access to community services with coordination of current and new services to address long-term health outcomes.


Geoff Gusoff

 

 

 

 

 

Geoff Gusoff, MD, MBA, MTS

Dr. Gussoff completed his MD/MBA at the Perelman School of Medicine and the The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed Family Medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Geoff Gusoff is a family physician whose work focuses on social and structural determinants of health, particularly assessing how the ownership and control of basic resources in communities impacts health. His research explores the health impact of community ownership strategies such as worker-owned businesses and community land trusts. Dr. Gussof is a National Clinician Scholar and Community Medicine Fellow in the Department of Family Medicine.

Thalia Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen completed medical school at UC Irvine and her undergraduate degree from UCLA. She is family physician and completed family medicine residency at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She is a UCLA Health Informatics fellow and practices medicine at the family health center. Her scholarly interests include Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Adolescent Medicine, LGBTQ Care, Academic Medicine, Behavioral Health, Health Policy, Palliative Care, and Inpatient Medicine.
