Research Laboratories

Laboratory-based research, also called basic vision science research, forms the foundation for the clinical research, education and patient care that are the visible hallmarks of the UCLA Stein Eye Institute. The Institute has over 20 specially equipped laboratories to support vision science investigations. Organized around the interests of the research faculty, these laboratories offer unique opportunities for students, physicians and fellows to become involved in internationally and nationally renowned scientific study.
