Twenty UCLA Health clinics, 19 primary care and one pediatric practice, have been recognized with the Patient-Centered Medical Home accreditation for excellence in ambulatory patient care delivery by the URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization that strives to promote healthcare quality and accountability. UCLA Health is one of only two hospital systems in the nation, and the only one on the West Coast, to be recognized with this accreditation.

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center has been named as a Blue Distinction Center in the areas of Bariatric Surgery and Complex and Rare Cancers. The Blue Distinction Centers for Specialty Care® program is a national designation awarded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies to medical facilities that have demonstrated expertise in delivering quality specialty care – and has recently been expanded to include more robust quality measures focused on improved patient health and safety.
