Practical Skills for Adult ADHD: This is an 8-week group that will focus on executive functioning skills (starting tasks, completing tasks, communication skills, working memory) for adults with ADHD/ADD. Adults who are diagnosed with ADHD are the best candidates for this group. This group will incorporate mindfulness skills. Taking place: Every Tuesday from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm with Sharon Bina, MFT
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Group: Cognitive behavioral therapy meets mindfulness. This group offers strategies to help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions in order to achieve relief from feelings of distress. Learn to Thrive Group: Focusing on skills to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression and learn alternative and healthier approaches for day-to-day problems. 60+ Process Group: Helping older adults manage emotions, find new sources of enjoyment and meaning, and build new support systems. Typical topics include transitioning to retirement; making new friends; pursuing new interests; coping with grief and loss; dealing with the stress of being a caregiver; and, most importantly--achieving your highest potential at any age. Maternal and Child Wellness Group: This is a 9 session, biweekly group for first time Moms (Babies are welcome). Topics include: Education, sleep, nutrition, exercise and time for yourself, nonjudgmental sharing, emotional support, practical support, referrals and resources, and wellness planning. (This group is not appropriate for mothers who have lost their babies or dealing with grief and loss over a child because babies will be welcome to the group). Personal Development Weekly: Do you crave greater satisfaction, ease, and performance, but your day-to-day life makes those seem like a fantasy? In this group, we’ll move toward self-actualization one small step at a time. Each week we’ll explore a bit of theory or ripped-from-the-journals research in psychology, neurobiology, and other life and social sciences, any how to leverage it in the messy real world, for a growing sense of a life well-lived.
