Nicholas was born and raised in Los Angeles and has spent most of his life enjoying LA’s amazing weather, food, and people. He went to university at UCLA where he majored in neuroscience and became fascinated with the field’s complexity and potential. As an avid chess player, he also appreciated the similarities the game has with neuroscience, which only served to increase his interest. He attended medical school at Drexel University and continued to do research and volunteer as a mentor within the Armenian community. He is excited to be back in Los Angeles and to train at UCLA. His current interests are vascular and endovascular neurology, as well as education, which he hopes to continue throughout his training and career. Outside of his professional life, Nicholas likes to play basketball, football, chess, and card games. He also enjoys trying new cuisines and spending time with his family and friends.
