ASRA 2026 Spring Meeting By Rana Movahedi, MD
The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Spring Meeting was held in Phoenix, Arizona, in April 2026. The UCLA Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine had a strong and highly visible presence across multiple educational sessions and poster presentations.
Faculty and trainees contributed extensively to the scientific program. Nishita Lockwood, MD, MPH, Jonathan Shen, DO, Jacqueline Labins, MD, Julia Klein, MD, and Peter Yan, MD, presented the following abstracts:

In addition to these presentations, Rana Movahedi, MD, participated as invited faculty in several roles throughout the meeting. She led three hands-on workshops focused on upper extremity nerve blocks, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and difficult spinal/epidural techniques. She also served on an expert panel and moderated three poster sessions.
Dr. Movahedi was honored with the Fellow of the American Society of Regional Anesthesiology (FASRA) designation, which recognizes significant contributions to the field and a continued commitment to excellence in regional anesthesiology and academic medicine. She was also recognized as a Founding Member of the Regional Anesthesiology Fellowship Directors Association (RAFDA) for her early commitment and contribution to the establishment of RAFDA.
