The CSA 2026 Annual Meeting 2026 was held in early April at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. The UCLA Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine had a strong presence and delivered multiple impactful presentations. Faculty members in attendance included Rana Movahedi, MD, Philip Levin, MD, Dane Saksa, MD, MBA, Emily Methangkool, MD, MPH, Vanessa Henke, MD, and Pamela Chia, MD, MS.

The schedule on Thursday, April 9, was dedicated to various committee meetings, beginning with the Membership Committee. This was followed by successive meetings for the Practice Management, Pain Management, Sustainability, Women in Anesthesia, and Legislative Affairs Committees. among others. The final committee meeting concluded in the late evening, marking a long but productive day focused on CSA organizational business.

The educational program commenced on Friday, April 10, and continued through Sunday, April 12, featuring a wide range of sessions led by UCLA faculty. Dr. Methangkool presented on Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation Priorities & Future Focus. Dr. Henke moderated a session on Clinical Conundrums. Drs. Chia and Movahedi led two hands-on workshops focused on Regional Anesthesia and point-of-care ultrasound.

The business portion of the meeting resumed on the afternoon of April 12 with the CSA Board of Directors Meeting, which officially wrapped up the conference this year. Representing UCLA were Dr. Levin, CSA Immediate Past President, Dr. Movahedi, Assistant Secretary, and Dr. Methangkool, Communications Division Chair.
