Reflections on 2026 Women in Anesthesiology Luncheon

On August 1, 2026, the women of the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine came together for their annual luncheon. It was a wonderful afternoon and such a treat to bring together women from the department, past and present, into one space. Dr. Hayley Osen hosted and generously opened up her beautiful home to everyone. Dr. Olsen expressed her are gratitude to everyone who has organized and hosted this important gathering in years past: Drs. Selma Calmes, Johnny Harrison, Wendy Ren, Judi Turner, Dorothea Hall, Christine Nguyen Buckley, Swati Patel, and Zarah Antongiorgi. These women are the reason it has become something they look forward to and they hope to keep it as an annual tradition as Dr. Selma Calmes hoped it would remain.
