Women in Anesthesiology (WIA) is a national physician organization dedicated to the professional and personal development of women anesthesiologists, fostering recruitment, retention, and job satisfaction while promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.

We are proud that UCLA faculty will be featured speakers at this year’s event:

  • Dr. Lindsay Brown — “Who Gets to Write the Story: Closing the Gender Gap in Anesthesiology Authorship”
  • Dr. Theodora Wingert — “Evidence-Based Practices and Data Analytics for Well-Being”
  • The Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Alice Coombs, an alumna of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, nationally respected leader in anesthesiology and critical care medicine, and Past President of the Massachusetts Medical Society. She has dedicated her career to mentoring physicians, advancing public health, and championing equity in healthcare.

This annual meeting is an excellent opportunity for trainees, faculty, and colleagues to engage in career development, mentorship, and community building with anesthesiologists from across the country.
