5th Annual DAPM Womxn's Symposium
Written by Olivia Diaz

We celebrated the 5th Annual DAPM Womxn’s Symposium on March 26, 2025 and are grateful for all who took the time to be part of this special evening. The theme this year is Womxn Leaders & A Conversation on Work-Life Integration. Our hosts were Dr. Zarah Antongiorgi and Dr. Ashley Oliver and panelists included:
- Brittany Burton, MD
- Jamila Churchill, MSN, MPH, CRNA
- Megan Lebre, MEd
- Jeanine Naegle, MD
- Sandra Sacks, MD, MEd
- Parisa Partownavid, MD
It was an honor to collaborate with all hosts and panelists who all put on such an inspiring event! I’m still in awe of the incredible energy felt in the room from that evening. As we continue to hold this event, we’ve been able to expand our reach to the broader DGSOM community, particularly with an increase in attendance from DGSOM medical students – we had ~11 sign-up this year. In addition to those we saw attend in-person in the auditorium, we had 27 attendees via Zoom. The topics covered ranged from negotiation and leadership development to gender equity in medicine. We are sharing a list of resources that were mentioned during the event below. We hope you find them helpful for your personal and professional journeys.
